2024 Annual Awards Presentation, 3 PM EDT, April 24, 2024
USDA Economists Group,
On Wednesday April 24th, the USDA Economists Group will meet to present its four annual awards. You are all invited to attend, either in person at room 107A of the Whitten building or via Zoom at the attached link below. The attachment is a calendar item that provides details of connecting virtually. A reception with light refreshments will follow immediately afterwards in the same room.
I am pleased to announce that winner of this year’s awards as follows:
John Lee Award of Group Achievement – USDA Forest Service, Southern Research Station Group
Bruce Gardner Award for Visiting Economists – Mary Muth, RTI International
Fred Woods Award for Career Achievement – Shayle Shagam, USDA Office of the Chief Economist
Economist of the Year – Maros Ivanic, USDA Economic Research Service
